The Ministry of Education (Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Lee Ju-Ho) will hold a direct dialogue session called “Dialogue with Three Education Agents for 「Schools Together」” at Sejong Government Complex on October 5 (Thursday). About 50 education agents (i.e., students, parents, and teacher) from nation-wide will attend the session, including Cho Hee-yeon, Education Governor of Seoul and Suh Geo-seok, Education Governor of Jeollabuk-do. The Ministry of Education has developed and implemented various policies, including legal revisions for the restoration and profection of teachers’ rights. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Lee Ju-Ho has held regular meetings with teachers to create policies together. The “Dialogue with Three Education Agents for Together School” is part of this ongoing effort, emphasizing the importance of having a common goal and open dialogue among all stakeholders, including the three education agents whom are students, parents, and teachers.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Lee Ju-Ho said, “Schools Together is a school where teachers’ rights are respected, where there is no school violence, no private education, and where students can realize their dreams.” He also added, “In order to create Schools Together, students, parents, and teachers in the school need to come together, embrace each other, and communicate without barriers based on mutual respect and trust.” Furthermore, he emphasized, “The Ministry of Education will transform the communication methods with schools, particularly through a new online communication platform. Also, we will cooperate with local offices of education to provide necessary institutional and policy support, ensuring that the needs of the three education agents are fully reflected in policies.” (October 5, 2023, Sejong Government Complex)
