Revision of Accreditation System of Online Degree Courses at Non-Cyber Universities
□ The Ministry of Education will revise the acquisition system of bachelor degree courses in the field of leading-edge technology to expand its scope, which will include partly revising the directives instructing the online degree courses at non-cyber universities, and to select the colleges and graduate schools that will apply the revised system in the second half of this year. ㅇThis revision will allow non-cyber universities to operate 100% of their degree courses online under the approval of the Ministry of Education, which was first introduced in February 2021, and six colleges and seven degree courses have been approved during the first approval phase in February 2022. ㅇ The approved non-cyber colleges have been able to conduct various experiential education classes such as online coding practices, online lectures that are very much like in-person lectures, as well as online tests that use AI technology to prevent malpractice as a means of bringing digital innovation to lectures.
