2022년 학교체육 활성화 추진 기본 계획 발표

□ The Ministry of Education (Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Yoo Eunhae) has announced its plan to promote physical education (PE) in schools in 2022, focusing on raising physical activity levels of all students for physical benefits and to raise student athletes who can pave their own way with initiative in 2022.

ㅇ This plan focused on strengthening sports and physical activities within schools to revive student health that has deteriorated due to the prolonged COVID-19, and to set up a system of support for raising future-oriented talent of the future.

□ To this end, a total of five major tasks and 39 sub-tasks are set to support non-athlete students of elementary, middle and high school, as well as student athletes, teachers and coaches. The amount of special budget to support these tasks is KRW 12.9 billion.
