On January 9, the Ministry of Education announced its plan for Neulbom School, an "edu-care" service consisting of after-school activity programs to ensure the Government exercises greater responsibility for providing education and care to primary school students. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Lee Ju-Ho said, "We'll continue to work closely with relevant ministries, local governments and offices of education to successfully introduce Neulbom School, through which the Government will take greater responsibility for the education and care for primary school students." He added, "Neulbom will align the formal school curriculum, after-school programs and care service in an integrative manner.
