On November 9, the Ministry of Education convened a meeting at Sejong Government Complex on the theme of improving safety in the education sector and supporting college students in the aftermath of the tragic incident at Itaewon with the Korean Council for University Education, Korean Council for University Education, and college presidents as well as staff.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minster of Education Lee Ju-Ho said, "The Ministry of Education will work closely with colleges to help students safely return to their daily life. We should never forget how devastated we all feel with what happened at Itaewon, and as Minister of Education, I will do my utmost to prepare a safe future for our youth."
