He observed a Korean language class, which was part of the special classes offered to multicultural students, and also engaged with the after-school programs for kindergartners. Additionally, he held a meeting with the teachers and staff to discuss the achievements, challenges, and future direction of operating multicultual schools and the development of multicultural education.

Deputy Prime Minister Lee emphasized, “Learning to respect and appreciate each other’s cultures is of utmost importance in fostering a mature citizenship and preparing for an upcoming multicultural society.” He added, “The Ministry will establish a mid- to long-term development plan for multicultural education by revising relevant policies and existing plans to provide quality education programs, including strengthening education on Korean language and cultural understanding to more strongly support multicultural students.”
