On May 15, the Ministry of Education and the Korean Federation of Teachers’ Association jointly organized the 42nd Teacher’s Day ceremony at The K-Hotel in Seoul. The ceremony was held on an extensive scale for the first time in three years since the beginning of the pandemic, and was attended by over 400 participants, including the awardees of government and minister’s prizes for their achievement in educational innovation, student guidance and human capital development, and their families as well as teachers’ unions and educational stakeholders.

Deputy Prime Minister Lee Ju-Ho said, “I’d like to wholeheartedly congratulate all of our wonderful teachers around the country in celebration of the Teacher’s Day. The remarkable achievement we’ve made in education was only possible thanks to your strong devotion and dedication.
