제목 : Empowering Teachers’ Rights to Foster ‘School for All’ to Build Respect Among Students, Teachers, and Parents

The Ministry of Education (Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Lee Ju-Ho) is poised to unveil the Comprehensive Plan for Restoring and Protecting Teaching Rights on August 23, aimed at reinstating and safeguarding the rights of educators. This response comes in answer to the impassioned appeals from teachers nationwide. Their collective plea is to guarantee and environment conducive to unhindered teaching endeavors while taking proactive measures against transgression that not only disrupt educational processes but also imperil lives and well-being, ultimately jeopardizing the very foundation of public education. Enhancing teaching authority stands as a major national priority for the government. The all-encompassing plan has been formulated in direct response to societal appeals for the reinforcement and firm establishment of teaching authority. The clarion call gained momentum following the tragic incident in July involving a teacher who tragically ended her own life on school premises. (August 23, 2023, Seoul Government Complex)
