Deputy Prime Minister Lee Joonsik
Attends the Opening Ceremony of
the Korea-ASEAN Council of Teachers Convention

 

 

□ Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Lee Joonsik attended the opening ceremony of the 32nd Korea-ASEAN Council of Teachers Convention (ACT+1), and welcomed representatives of teachers from nine ASEAN countries* and teachers from Korea and abroad.  
* Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam

□ Prime Deputy Minister Lee Joonsik addressed, "Character and Global Citizenship Education are necessary values for the future society, and I hope this convention would be the start of extending quality education and shaping a better future for the Korea-ASEAN community."

□ The convention was held from September 18 to September 20, 2016 at the K Hotel, Seoul, Korea. In this convention, special session on Korea, presentation of the National Report, leaders' meeting, education/cultural programs, and closing session were organized.
