-Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, KIM Sang-kon will visit Hanoi, Vietnam from 13-15 December 2017, in celebration of the two countries' 25 years of formal diplomatic ties, to advance Korea-Vietnam's education cooperation.

 

During his visit, he will meet with Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam of Vietnam, and discuss ways to promote education cooperation between Korea and Vietnam. They will jointly attend the Korea-Vietnam Global HR Forum 2017 in Vietnam.

 

-Deputy Prime Minister KIM Sang-kon will also visit the Korean International School in Hanoi to see how it is operated. Then, he will meet with overseas Koreans and Korean school teachers to understand their needs and encourage them.

 

-On December 14th, Deputy Prime Minister KIM Sang-kon will attend the Opening Ceremony of the Korea-Vietnam Global HR Forum 2017, and share his commitment and vision with regard to the two countries' education cooperation in his welcoming remark.

 

-In addition, Deputy Prime Minister KIM Sang-kon will hold a bilateral meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, where he will share Korean education's advancement as well as his insights and perspectives on primary/secondary education, vocational education, higher education, and language education.

 

Deputy Pime Minister KIM sang-kon will visit Vietduc High School, a school that teaches Korean as a Second Language, and encourage faculty members.

 

-Deputy Prime Minister KIM Sang-kon expressed, "through this visit, I aspire the two countries to reflect upon Korea-Vietnam's 25 years of education cooperation, in which Vietnam has become one of the most HR exchanged nations with Korea in the area of student mobility since 1992, and pledge on a new platform to enhance HR exchanges and cooperation."
