-The Ministry of Education (Prime Deputy Minister and Minister of Education, Sang-kon KIM) announced that the 6th Asia-Europe Education Ministerial Meeting (ASEMME6) will be held on 21 November 2017 at Hotel Shilla in Seoul.

The ASEM Ministerial Meeting offers a platform for 53 ASEM partners from Asia and Europe (21 Asian countries, 30 European countries, the ASEAN Secretariat, and the European Union) to gather together, and foster dialogue and cooperation in the field of education between and within Asia and Europe.

-This year's 6th ASEM Ministerial Meeting celebrates the 10th year of its history with the theme, "Collaboration for the Next Decade: From Common Perspective to Effective Fulfillment."

Education Ministers from each ASEM member will closely discuss and review the past decade's educational achievements, and propose a new vision for the next decade of the ASEM Education Process.

They will also consult key work areas, including ways to facilitate and expand cooperation in youth employability in the face of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and mobility between and within Asia and Europe (exchanges of students, professors, etc.).

-In particular, in order for Korea to take a leading role as a hosting country, the Seoul Declaration and the MOOC Initiative, which provide the next decade's vision for educational cooperation and joint content development of MOOC between and within Asia and Europe will be proposed with an aim to contribute to the educational advancement between and within Asia and Europe.

-Yeonghan CHOI, Director-General of the Task Force for ASEM Ministers' Meeting, addressed, "we will make utmost efforts to envision and produce tangible outcomes for the next 10 years between and within Asia nad Europe, as this year marks the 10th year of ASEM Education Ministerial Meeting."
