To respond to future developments in the educational landscape such as demographic changes, social polarization and digital transformation, the Ministry of Education has been taking stepwise measures to put its education on the future-oriented path.
Its measures include the announcement of "The Top Ten Priority Policy Agenda for Future Education" (Oct. 5, 2020), which cuts across all levels of the education sector, and the establishment of a preparatory taskforce for future education (Jun. 8, 2021), as well as various events organized to listen to the voices of students, teachers and parents to better reflect their demands on its policies.
The meeting in October was held to monitor the progress made in the past year in achieving the top ten policy priorities, and to have experts exchange their views on how to support policies to be well represented in the actual educational settings in the years to come.
In addition, active discussions took place on measures to improve the educational system to better adapt to the future environment, to bring about educational innovation in the digital era, and to map out strategies to achieve sustainable development in education, aiming to prepare for a brighter future.
